The Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) represents 95% of the global cruise industry. This includes major cruise lines like Princess Cruise line, Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America, Royal Caribbean Cruise line and more. These elements were created with scientists, medical experts, cruise lines, the healthy sail panel and more. They have also been closely watching the slow return of cruising in Europe and what has worked there. 

These 6 elements is a crucial cruise line news update for the USA and what is needed for cruising to resume. The first rule is testing. All passengers and crew will be tested before they board the ship. The second rule is that where social distancing can't be maintained you will have to wear a mask. This may affect cruise line bookings as many people will not want to worry about bringing and wearing a mask while on vacation. The third element is physical distancing, this is not only on the ship but also in terminals, onboard the ship, private islands and shore excursions. Upgrading ventilation is the fourth element. They can accomplish this by enhanced air filters and increasing fresh air flow. The fifth element is medical capability. Most passengers will not be affect by this unless they start to have symptoms. Cruise ships need to have dedicated isolation rooms, and plans for quarantine, medical facilities and transportation shoreside. The final element is in regards to shore excursions. Cruise lines need to have clear protocols, passengers must follow the rules and if they don't then they wont be able to re-board. 

This cruise ship news might have passengers question how fast they want to resume cruising. It will be a different experience with these new rules but will it ruin your trip. Vacations cost a lot of money and some people may want to wait until they don't need masks and can explore ports on their own.
